Auto Accidents
At Advanced Spine and Rehab we fully understand that following a motor vehicle accident you may not be only experiencing pain, but also dealing with insurance companies, auto repair shops and rental car agencies - and that can be stressful. We know that you're already experiencing enough difficulty with handling these other matters. Our goal is to make treatment as efficient, painless and comfortable as possible.
What if I can't afford treatment?
What if I don't have health insurance?
It is important to understand that no matter who is at fault for the accident, your auto insurance is responsible for 100% of your medical/chiropractic bills in most cases. They are responsible for covering all treatment and exams for this injury.
You can relax knowing that effective patient-centered care in comfortable surroundings is a phone call away, without having to worry about the details of your care. We will handle the insurance paperwork for you, book your appointments in advance, and provide regular reports on your progress to your insurance company. If necessary, reports will also be sent to your attorney.
Do you really think I need chiropractic care?
While medical care may be required initially to treat any fractures, cuts, etc, chiropractic care is the best option for rehabilitating joints and muscles often injured in auto collisions. Chiropractic care is very effective in the treatment of many different conditions, including whiplash, headaches, back and neck pain. Our clinic is integrated with specialized medical physicians who can manage complicated whiplash cases with pain management and/or surgery. However, the majority of our patients recover with conservative care (massage, chiropractic, rehab, etc).
At Advanced Spine and Rehab, we take a special interest in caring for injuries that result from whiplash and other auto injuries. In 2007, Dr. Peterson completed post-graduate training to become certified in the treatment of whiplash and mild traumatic brain injuries through the Spine Research Institute of San Diego. With this advanced training, Dr. Peterson is one of only a handful of chiropractors in Southern Utah who are certified to treat these complex injuries. Our facility is the only clinic in Southern Utah to have computerized neck rehab and other pain relieving equipment.
Don't Make This Mistake!
Medications may mask the pain for a few hours, but they do not aid your body's ability to heal itself and may hinder the healing process. Medications cannot correct the soft tissue damage that is caused by an auto accident. If you are only taking pills irritated nerves will continue to plague you until you receive treatment. Pain medications alone will only mask the symptoms and not treat the injury.

About Whiplash Injury
Videos on Whiplash Injuries
An entire whiplash injury occurs in about 1/10th of a second - the length of an eye blink. But in that time, the human head can experience forces greater than that of jet fighter pilots.
